Meet the Instructor

Ricardo "Rick" Seiler has been a broker in the state of Hawai'i since 1979, owning and operating two CENTURY 21 offices in Kihei and Lahaina on the island of Maui, eventually selling those offices and going on to start his own brokerage firm. Rick became a Hawai'i Real Estate Commission Certified Prelicense Education Instructor in 1985, instructing various industry related courses for different associations throughout Maui County, including the  Realtor Association of Maui. After realizing he enjoyed teaching and guiding soon-to-be licensee's, in 1990, he and his wife, Nancy Seiler, founded Seiler School of Real Estate under the belief that a great real estate instructor doesn't just help a student pass the exams, but teaches them to understand the core concepts of the practice of real estate so they may better serve their future clients and protect the public.

Seiler Real Estate School - Online Real Estate Courses - Real Estate Classes

In 2001, Seiler School of Real Estate began offering classes online, making them the first real estate school in the state of Hawai'i to offer a certified independent study course. Since then, Seiler School of Real Estate has left the brick-and-mortar classroom behind and has become a completely independent, at-home, study course - making it easier for people looking to become licensed to fit the studies into their schedule and to learn at their own pace from the comfort of their home or office - wherever that may be.  Students from all over the world and throughout the Hawaiian Islands, from Maui to Australia,  including: Japan, Germany, Canada, Singapore, and even military servicemen and women stationed in the Middle East.

Rick designed and created the original curriculum and continues to update the course to make it relevant and in line with today's standards. He makes himself available to his students through email, and students can typically expect a response from him in less than 24 hours. To learn more about the courses offered visit the Courses page, and if you have a question take a look at some of our Frequently Asked Questions.
